UAL Universal Africa Lines Ltd and BOCS Bremen Overseas Chartering and Shipping are joining their forces on the West African trades.
BOCS Bremen Overseas Chartering and Shipping, a breakbulk MPV shipping line, operates 5 x geared MPV vessels ranging from 12.800 till 28.000MT DWT, with a lifting capacity up to 160MT.
UAL Ltd, a breakbulk MPV shipping line dedicated to the Oil and Gas market operates 7 x geared MPV vessels ranging from 4.500 till 12.800mt DWT vessels, with a lifting capacity up to 360MT.
Both companies are combining their liner services and vessels from Europe to West Africa in order to create stronger services, by generating synergetic effects.
This new alliance will start with slot charter agreements whereby each line will maintain its own identity and agency network.
“BOCS is very pleased to announce the collaboration with UAL. Customer satisfaction is our superior goal at all times. The clientele will benefit from more flexibility, in particular extended port coverage, even faster transit times and an increased number of sailings“, states Björn Hollnagel, Managing Director of BOCS.
Harald Maas, Director of UAL Netherlands BV explains: “UAL has been serving the West Africa market on its own for over 45 years, but now we have found a trusted partner which can help us offer better services to our clients. We know that all our clients will benefit from this new venture".
The agreement is in force as from today.
Break-Bulk, Containers, Bulk and Heavy lifts can be accepted from our regular load ports in Aberdeen, Antwerp and Rouen, to serve all West African ports.
Additional information will be made available in due course.
